Project steering committee consists of representatives of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia, State Forest Service, State forest enterprise “Latvijas valsts meži”, Nature Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia. 

Committee is meeting annually. 

This action includes study visits abroad to other European countrie where Lesser spotted eagle has strong populations and effective conservation measures have been carried out. 

One visit to Bulgaria took place in 2018. The other planned visits were cancelled due to COVID situation. 

We will also organise international project closing conference during September 2021. The conference will focus on dissemination of the gained experience and results of the project and future perspectives of Lesser spotted eagle conservation in Latvia and elsewhere in EU.
